April 3rd
Haven’t had a lot to report the past few months apart from four blanks in row

from the beaches so I grabbed the spinning rod & the headed for a rocks, but after two hours & not a bite I was beginning to think a fifth bank was on the cards

but luckily a wee Pollock took the spinner & saved the day

stayed on for another hour but not a bite. The rock fishing is very slow this year just hope it improves over the coming weeks.

I tried a local beach as there’s was a nice surf running & not a surfer in sight which was great for a change cast out one rod at distance & the other in close both baited with small Mack strips but yet again the baits were coming back untouched & after three hours I just had enough & started reeling in the line to head for home but to my surprise a lovely little blank saving Turbot appeared on the bottom hook of the distance rod happy days

Thinking I was in for a great session I decided to stay on for another hour but nothing else showed up but was just happy to have caught something.
A few pictures I took of a wee Sole we found out after Razor fish my first one to see around here he was buried in the sand at low tide he looked like a bird had pecked him & also a dead Mullet what ever happened to him!!
