Report: searched for a west facing beach in wexford, out of the easterly - didnt want to just fish from the piers again
got the mapviewer out and memorised the route
found the spot without too much hassel and was delighted with what i saw
relatively calm beach, but soon realised how shallow it was
probably needs the W or SW to throw up the surf and the fish
reminded me of most beaches in connacht on the ebb - moving the tripod and chasing it out - have gotten used to the non tides on the east coast
clean sand all the way but managed to snag myself a few times
was actually very comfortable fishing there last night - only rarely did the rod tip move to the E breeze
shelterd on 3 sides - if only there was a few fish
will def go back but i can imagine when the conditions are right - you need to be on the ball - only enough parking for 2 cars - reverse all the way out
say it could get manic in the summer

At least you found a calm spot. I fished in Wicklow two nights ago and the waves were huge . I couldn't hold the bottom using a 5 oz weight .well done getting out
