People:myself and 39 other competitors!
Duration: 1pm - 6pm
Tide: 2ish hours down, low ,2ish hrs fill
Weather:rain, rain and a fairly strong nnw thrown in for good measure!
Bait:mostly rag lug mack sandeel mussel
Rigs:mostly 3 hook flappers
Results:1st uel moore larne and district sac 12 counting fish
longest fish flounder 42cm
Report:fishing was patchy enough during daylight with only a few flounder of counting size coming in. as soon as the light dropped the coalies and whiting appeared mostly at the west end of the beach (mostly below 30cm though)
around 140 counting sized fish were caught and released .
strangly on arriving at my peg i found a dead triggerfish of around 2-3lb washed up at the high tide mark - must definately have been lost up here at this time of year!!!
