absolutely flat calm and glassy conditions today, and really strangely quiet, hit into fish pretty quickly - rising two before landing one about 3/4lb - all within a few minutes - it really seems to be the pattern here that you hit little groups of fish on the move - then all goes quiet again

in the calm conditions i could also see the odd fish moving - tho always out of range.

rose and missed another fish and got him on the 2nd cast - a good fight , and i noticed that the fish splashing on the top of the water attracted the attention of a seal who checked out what was going on - but thankfully didn't come over and try and swipe it

This fish was a nice length, but very thin and out of condition. you can see from the pic that its tail is damaged from spawning - so i got a quick pic and quickly returned it - shot off like a rocket through the shallows.

rose another two fish before calling it a day, picked a load of cockles off the beach on the way back - the big tides must have washed them out :-)

Bryan - steamed the cockles in cider an garlic - then took them out if the shells and smothered them in butter OMFG! delicious :-)

Chuckaroo - you will have to get over to the west for a lash at them :-)
