Hit the mark weather was nice and sunny, My first cast rod tip pulled over and then slack ray i knew, landed a nice female to around 5pound,, then sean was next with nice a male to about 2to 3 pound , only got two cast in then had to make a run for it , a big swell came up from now where and covered the rocks we where on... so next plan to a diamond of mark i have fished many times and never let me down.. from the start fish after fish for both of us,,, flounder, doggies, and pleanty of good size coalies best to myself of a 42cm coalie... Sean will add a little more plus a few photos....

As Alan said it was definitely 'a diamond of a mark'!! The fishing was great.. just a pity I couldn't say the same about the weather. It was a fish a cast with lug picking out the flounder and the coalies and doggies preferring sandeel. We could have continued fishing when we left, but the wind was blowing a gale and the rain was relentless making it very difficult to fish at all. Great to be out and a good spread of fish between us! Looking forward to hitting that spot again..

I have attached a couple of pics including Alan's 42cm coalie.

its a pollock,,, the lateral line off a pollock is curved as the coalie lateral line is straight.... i thought it was a coalie myself by the colour of it,, a bluie green colour....
