met up with tom at the pier yesterday for my first session in a long time, soon as i got out of the car tom landed a nice coalie of 44 cm's, so got my gear set up and banged the salt rod out to distance with a pully rig on. also set up a small ugly stick rod with a small reel loaded with 10lb braid and popped that in fairly close. it was not long in when i got a nice rattle on it "MISSED IT" and lost my snood

a short time later tom then landed another 33 cm flounder, when he was unhooking it he noticed that it had my lost snood hanging from its mouth

after that fishing was more or less dead with tom just getting an odd wee bite every so ofen, i was not even getting a touch, so it was looking like a blank for me.

it got so cold we packed the big rods away and decided to just use the light rods in close for a few casts before we left, and sure enough tom was back in hitting some coalies, then it was my turn

saved the blank!!! i ended up pulling in 16 coalies in just over 10 minutes. now i happy

but the cold got the better of us so we packed up and called it a day...
