Report:
Only had an hour this evening so headed for spiddal pier wasnt really expecting much but was pleasantly suprised
Anyway started fishing 2 rods 1 in close with 3 hooks and one out far with mack elasticated on
Bite detection was hard because of the mad gale blowing and the water infront of the pier looked like the rocks in kilkee first cast dad had a nice bite which resulted in a pollack of about 5lbs had never seen a pollack that big taken from the pier anyway that was the start of a productive hr first cast for me was a doggie out far and a nice poor cod on the 3 hook the fishing continued till the end with a fish a cast plenty of dogs and pouting was very suprised wth no whiting around any way headed home at 7
Hadnt caught many dogs of that pier was just wondering are they usually there or was it a fluke that there was just a few passing the dogs were right at the pier and out far and thanks dan for the tips they were greatly appreciated
All in all a good evening in such bad conditions
