Report: Fished Killiney beach yesterday. Started in front of the dart station but we moved up to the tea rooms because of the weed. Was fishing close in as im a rubbish caster! But I did improve my technique a SMALL bit when I was down there. I didnt see anybody else fishing when I was there. Saw two guys fishing at Sorrento Point though. Also attempted to LRF for a bit but it was hard to pull the lures through the weed with the light 6lb line!

Hey sammypants 13,
Theres a lot of rocks down there on the beach about 30ft out with kelp. The best thing to do is check out the beach on a day wit an extremley low tide. Ya can get a good view from the dart station too as its elevated!

A lot of lads drew blanks last weekend, probably the big tides.
Better luck on the next trip

I had my first bass on that beach about 4 years ago. It can be good but better when it gets a bit darker. The weed can be a pain in the neck though!

How big were the codling? Just wondering whats the average size size of the codling on the east coast? And thanks for all the replies, I'll fish it at night next time I'm up in Dublin.

all very small 20 to 25cm, but it does produce much better fish on occasion
