People: Meself
Duration: 3:30 to 7:30
Tide: HW at 4:30
Weather: Blue skies, westerly wind & rough sea
Bait: hardback crabs and lures
Rigs: long traces and floats
Results: plenty of pollack and ballans
Report:
My favourite rock mark outside Ventry does it again... plenty of pollack to rubber eels on long traces and some wrasse on the same lures too which was the first time that'd happened at that venue. Normally the wrasse only go for float-fished baits or ledgered baits there. Had collected a dozen tiny crabs in Dingle and these worked a treat as usual under the float, fished deep, but had to go for some particularly strong hooks yesterday as the wrasse kept up their usual practice of dashing into the rocks once hooked, but with particular speed yesterday! No mackerel in sight yesterday, but this particular marke rarely throws them up. Cracking day...
