Fished a small comp on it on Sunday from 1-6pm 1st hour there was about 20 flounder and turbot caught with the average size of fish being about 35cm. Fishing then went very quiet until the last hour when another 15 or so fish caught. 2 flounder were 45cm another 5 were over 40 and there was 20 over 30. Easily the best average size fish i have seen in a long time.

Hi, there what bait do younuse for flounder?

simple rag or lug tipped with mackeral takes most of the flats up the north coast, portstewart may not always throw up great numbers of flounder but when you get them they are normally a good size.

Razorfish tipped with peeler crab was doing the damage on Sunday although a few of the smaller fish were caught on rag and mackeral

Never noticed any dead fish but apparently the green stuff that was on Benone and Portstewart came from a timber boat that flushed its hull.
