Report:With it being my birthday and because my woman loves fishing she decided to setup a session. She let me pick the mark so I went with old faithful Ennereilly.
We arrived at the beach just before dark and setup and put the line in the water. We had nothing for the first hour so we just injoyed the moon rise. Was'nt long then before the first doggie got landed to Dean. So he rebaited and put it back out.
While waiting for the fish I decided to get the BBQ out and do some hotdogs and burgers, but the fish must have smelled it because deans rod began hopping again. He thought another doggie so he brought it in to the shock of a small tope on the line. I think people in arcklow town could hear him screaming with joy.....
With the excitment I decided to put on a tope trace and stuck on a filet of mac, left the drag off and waited while eating the best burger I ever tasted. Withing mins the rod started, tap tap and zip. I picked it up with the line peeling off and struck into it. But it broke the drag on me reel, I had to screw the top on really thight just to reel the line it. But as I was reeling I thought it was a small tope, but it was a massive doggie. The fecker must have broke his jaw to get it around the bait I put out....
And thats how it went for the night untill I decided at 2:10 to put out a fresh crab for the last cast. Me and another fella put on the crab and tidyed up around us while waiting. Then both rods started rattling so we reeled in and both of us landed a pup hound ( mine was bigger
).....
We left it at that and headed home!!!
All in all great session!.
