People: Me and my Bro
Duration:2000 - 0200
Tide:0030
Weather:Moderate southerly at our backs
Bait:Rag/Mack/Herring/Squid
Rigs:Pulley, pennell, 3 boom scratching and 1 float rig
Results:10 doggies 2 codling and 1 lobster
My brother and I headed up to Glenarm last night for a few hours. The conditions were good and the sea was quite calm. We cast our first baits at around 2000.
On his first cast, my bro landed a very tasty lobster - unfortunately it lost one of its claws on the way in - less to eat for him
My first cast landed a nige big doggie and I continued like this for most of the night - I ended up with 8 doggies and 2 small codling. The biggest doggie came at around midnight - see link for pics. I was thinking that it might have been a bull huss due to its large size and width across the head - anyone know how to tell the difference?
I've stated before on this site that the doggies at this mark always seem to fight a lot harder than at other marks - the same was true last night again.
sorry for the link to another site but I can't work out how to post pics on this site -

For those that have not tried this mark, it is well worth a go
Tight lines.
