People:Me
Duration:10pm-3am
Tide:high around 9pm
Weather:patchy but dry
Bait:Lug
Rigs:2 hook flapper and pennel pulley
Results:4 bass, 1 dogfish, 4 flounder and a blonde ray (sorry no pics)
Report: Decided to go out for an evening session since I had nothing else on for the night. Tides looked ok but the wind did not favour the surf which was very weak when I got to the mark. But I had prime fresh fat lug and I never had a bad session with those fatties. First fish was a wee flounder, 2nd a decent flounder, 3rd a doggie, then the bass showed up, had 3 bass in quick sucsession, then a surprise blonde ray, not very big, about 3-4lb i'd say, then 2 more flounder and finished off with another bass. All the bass were decent enough all in and around 5lb. All the fish went back except for 1 flounder and a bass, both of which were deeply hooked. I hadn't planned on keeping anything. I got one of those t-bar disgorger things but I just cant get the hang of it. The long forceps saved me in the end but not the fish unfortunately.
