Hey Eoghan,

Have you tried swim feeder tactics? size 14 or less buried in a bread flake..

No haven't tried that but I did see the locals in lanzarote fishing for mullet what they did was tied a load of tiny treble hooks daisy chain fashion about two foot long and wrapped the two foot of hooks around a bread roll ,not very sporting but they got sh1t loads,I would have fly fished for them but damaged my shoulder recently and had to make do with easy fishing ,should have been resting it but the cabin Fever was doing my head in :D

hard luck eoghan. those things will do your head in
we only target them until we get 1 each every year then give up on them. fishing is supposed to be relaxing, but those fish would try the patience of a saint

Yea I'm the same I usually only try a few times as soon as I get one I'm not too bothered after that, used to spend weeks at them when I was a young lad used to get loads on fish baits in Balbriggan harbour ,but the harbour isn't what it used to be
