West Waterford 8/5/12 Two Sessions

People:me then me, Seanie35 and few others

Duration:2 x 2.5hrs

Tide:lw about 2.30 then hw later

Weather:nice earlier gentle south to southwest early then veering easterly few showers later

Bait:lures

Results:first session -5 bass to 4lbs, second session one bass just shy of 5lbs




Report:
Few days off round the bank holiday to do a bit of fishing so headed off early yesterday morning hoping to fish a mark over the top of the morning tide, drove to the mark and found weed soup . Packed up and considered alternative marks which were also weeded up. Headed home with a plan to fish at low water. Hit the mark later at about 14.30, first cast into a fish , schoolie bass about 2lbs, released, then second cast another about the same size, looking good for the session , managed another three in the first hour of the rise , best one was 4lbs , it had "one of those sessions written all over it" before the weed started to put a damper on the session ,packed up and headed home for a bite. Gerry, it's been a bit hit and miss on the lures but we are getting fish all the time , now that I have two addictions, lures and ground fishing

5 bass in one session is brilliant going fine looking fish,i can only imagine the buzz you get from catching them on lures
