People:me and mick
Duration:7.00-10.00pm
Tide:dropping
Weather:slight north breeze
Bait: mackeral, sandeel
Rigs:pulley, flapper, conger flowing trace
Results:
plenty dogs, 1 thornie, 1 conger
Report:
Decided on a deep water rock mark, pretty much because it would be out of the cool breeze rather than any other fine and educated reasoning on fishing conditions

. Got set up and were both into the doggies right away and as usual on such a mark I threw out a conger bait and still in daylight while I was rebaiting mick alerted me to the sound of the rachet on my conger rod

so made contact with the fish and a fair fight ensued although the conger was no match for mick when he got down the rocks with my big bad ugly landing net. Something I learned the hard way to be vital when the possibility of a decent conger is on the cards, no more silly folding nets for me

The fish weighed in at 24lb 2oz

a good start to the evening, but hen it was back to business as usual with the doggies until my last cast produced a small thornie of about 2lb.
If only photoshop/picture art was as easy as fishing
