north coast 15 april 2012

Tue Apr 17, 2012 1:59 pm

People:wee dave and myself

Duration:4-5 hours

Tide:going out, coming in

Weather:calm, cold

Bait:rag and sandeel

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:1 bass, 1 flattie

Report:headed off to meet wee dave from the forum, waitied 15 minutes for him as his expertise is second to none lol
drove up the beach a bit and set up. one of daves mates joined us, and next thinkg i know he has landed a bass
wee dave came over to chat and next thing i hear is " yer in mate". . .a few minutes later and bingo, one bass landed

wee dave's mate had left by this stage and wee dave was soon to follow, so all alone i found myself reeling in a tiny flattie the size of my hand. . .packed up soon after for the drive home, happy in the knowledge that i had my first bass of the year on my first session of the year

i am of the thinking that unless its gonna beat my personal best of 8lb odds, or or unless they look bigger than average, then they just be off the hook and away
