in a recent competition on the beach most of the flounder were caught in dead close in daylight and when it hit dark all the fish - dogs cod and coalies, whiting etc were out as far as u could hit it.

hi again phil,
i had spoke to lads from c.b.r.s.a.c and l.a.d.s.a.c and they said the same as you bout the dogs etc in dark.
i fished on fri 14/10, and just before dark a large swell started running this could possibly explain the lack of action after dark.we tried fishing at range and close in and our baits werent touched.

happy hooking rab

once the big swell is on it at dark i mostly find that most fish are caught out the back of the surf, even the coalies with are normally caught in the surf when its pounding.
