One wee flounder to save the blank...
Report:
With a free afternoon in store I headed over to Trap and Tackle for a packet of mackeral fillets, then after lunch I headed to the mark.
The conditions that greeted me were very different to what I'd experienced here before, chocolate brown water, strewn with kelp stems, spelled disaster from the outset but decided since the water was slightly coloured maybe the bright sunshine wouldn't put the fish off as much, not that it was much of an issue as 20 minutes later there was some horizontal hailstones!
Battling the conditions for the entire session it wasn't until the last 1/2 hr of the session that finally there was some action as I saw the tip of the conoflex pull round, finally a blank saving fish, left it a minute just to be sure it was on, and right enough, the bottom snood soon broke surface with a 20cm Flounder on... Phew!
Fished on for another bit and had one more positive bite, which I was overkeen with and duly missed.
Not a bad way to spend your day off mind...
