Report:Set off this evening around 5ish with the small fella in tow to try out his new gear he picked up for Christmas.We headed to a cove I had some good luck with last year but more for the fact its an easy fish for him.So I set up the beach gear and cast out crab and lug cocktails but with no luck.So I set up our lure gear but didn't have much hope as the water was very murky.After about an hour I could see a few fish jumping at the front of the bay.I changed to a IMA Sasuke yellow & gold 140 and on the second cast I had a great a take.It wasn't the biggest fish iv ever got but I'm delighted to get one this early.

Any time I take my kids with me, all i hear for the whole week is how great the fish was...even if it was a pin whitting last trip out caught 3 good size edible crabs... and the kids are still talking about them :D

Cheers lads.Ya,the young fella was over the moon when I left him return the fish.I'm just in the door after heading back down,plenty of fish about but there was a lot of heavy weed.It will have to wait till the morning
