Wicklow Pier 25/02/2012

Sun Feb 26, 2012 3:31 am

Me and Skelly

[b]
:8-12pm

:flooding

:serene

:lug, mak, mussel, peeler

:runnig ledger and flappers

Skell lots of whiting (30 or so) , couple of doggies and a colourful rock codling: me; a few whiting, couple of doggies and a codling, and a suspected Bullhuss that let go of the whiting on the hook, when it hit the surface.

Report:Was a beautifull night for fishing. We were kept fairly busy with fish coming steady (mostly Whiting) for the majority of the night. The weather was well apprecated, and a far cry from the cold windy nights that peppered this Winter. Looks like spring has, at last arrived. :D

Ahh I've had me fair share of dogs and huss down the years,,,,and the thumping fight off this fish (plus the letting go of the bait at the surface); had huss written all over it.
There was'nt many Smoohies to be caught in north Dublin 10 years ago...I suppose, when ya cast out a line now-a-days, anything is possible
