People: me myself and i
Duration:5-8
Tide:lw up
Weather: calm
Bait: lug
Rigs: 3 hook flappers
Results: whitening rockling coalie pouting sea scorpian
Report:
Decided to head out and use what bait i had left over from sat. The pier was the chosen spot to lazy to walk the beach. It was low water when i arrived. set up two rods with flappers. There was no wind and not much happening tide wise so wasnt expecting much. three other lads had set up beside me all we were getting was whitening after whitening no end to the little feckers.got a couple of pouting which i was surprised to see never caught one from the shore/pier before so its a new one for my species list.the three lads packed up and headed for the beach they had enough of the whitening and were in search of bigger things. Reeled in a whitening and a lump of weed and hiding in the weed was the dreaded sea scorpian, good thing i checked it before just grabbing it and pulling it off could of been nasty. Second last cast i got a triple, whitening rockling and pouting. Wasnt a bad session for three hours was a nice evening to wet a line. shame bout the lights been smashed feckers. By the time i had packed up there was 7 lads fishing of the pier its a busy little spot next they'll be taking bookings to get a place down there. no pics no camera

Well done Andy

, as Tightlines says the scorpion fish are harmless, i've caught hundreds and none of them have ever hassled me

I quite like the little feckers actualy

Not a bad spot for low water .

hey andy i was one of the 3 lads after hitting the beach we got more of the same lots whiting 2 codling biggest was bout 35cm and a coalie of 30cm hard to get through the whiting so we moved back to pier then and got more pout rockling whiting and a scorpion fish, so we should have just stayed there and saved us the walk and i agree nice spot to fish pity about the lights

as the other guys say, this fish is not poisonous, at all
Christ, 20 years of experience and over 800 dives and this Mr Moran thinks the scorpion fish in our waters is poisonous. More like Mr Moron
