The Cod have done a runner from youghal although i had 2 (50 cm and 31cm) they did not show like they have done in previous weeks.

couple of coalies (40 and 36cm the best) but the weather was miserable

2 lads are still there as i post this so hopefully they will get a few good fish before they leave

well done paul a 50cm cod is a good result i take it kev is still trying to get his youghal cod was there any size to the coalies

Paul did you weight the 50cm fish. nice fishing yea no more trips down till later on in the year..

The 50cm Cod weighed close to 3 lb

Not the biggest ive ever caught but tasted very nice in a beer batter with chips and peas

@tightlines Most of the coalies were between 25 and 30 cm with the best 1 hitting 40


Although i did get a nice Seabass as well

Not the fish but a horse that won at 7/1 at leopardstown

Thats an understatement if i ever heard one.... Next winter better be a cold DRY one, im not sure if i could go through the ordeal of driving all the way to Youghal just to get rained on again ...
