People: Lonesome me...
Duration:4 hours
Tide: 3hrs down , 1 hour up
Weather: W30-40 (!)
Bait:Soft plastics
Rigs:Deep spinning, Dropshot
Results:15 Pollock!
Report:
Firstly apologies for not giving the exact location of these marks, they were given in confidence and I want to respect peoples kindness!
Thought my day was off to a shocker tbh, bust a tip eye on my main rod so had to fish with the spare which is a bit light for these parts. Downgraded the weight of the lures and chundered on anyway hoping the 12lb fluoro would hold out if anything decent came along. Hiked a little further today to check out some deeper water to play about with some dropshot jellies and take some shelter from the what turned into a pretty hefty swell. Got 15 pollock in total, most of which were over 2lb and the biggest went to 3lb 14oz! Took one of the 2.5lb'ers home for some pollock goujons and chips, well tasty! Every other fish was returned safe and sound

Cracking sport but I did lose a few fish I couldn't stop from getting their heads down on the lighter rod - although it's hardly a bad complaint to have

not to worry darol, secret's safe with me! The plastics take a bit of practise tbh, keeping them deep and steady is the key. In winter anyway they tend to work best when retrieved that little bit slower
