Report:
tried to get lug without any joy, so raided the frezzer for Mack. Derek collected me, he was a little late said he was almost at my house to realise he forgot the bait. we got to dollymount only realise he didnt pack his rod. thank god we were only going somewhere close. so by the time we got back walked out to the see (amost in the shipping lane) it was 8pm when the bait hit the water. do a little walk about to look at the land and see if any gulles would trouble us. fouund a nice gully that looked like it will hold fish when the tide hits it. on our first cast Derek got 1no whiting (16cm). nothing on the next few casts. with the tide coming in and use retreating back it was about 9.30pm when we were back beside our gully that we had waited with hope to lauch our baits into. we fired them out into it i though i went to the right of. when we checked our line i had a whiting 20cm and derek had two flounder 1no 26cm and the other 34cm. we finished on in hope but the tide ripped in and the gully was out of reach. we called it a night at 10.45. very enjoyable night with fish to account for. it was a long time since i was on the beach finishing May 2011. nice night clear sky stars out even shooting stars, moon rose above the bailey nice big orange ball. overal a joy to be out and both came to the conculsion that why havent we tried this beach before, living within minutes of it all our lives to only fish it now.
