Duration: 4pm - 8pm

Tide: Low n Push

Weather: Horizontal Rain, Gales, Tripod blowy over weather

Bait: Herring, Rag and Mackeral

Rigs: 2 Hook Patt. Loops etc etc

Results:

1 Strap Conger, 3 3Bearded Rockling, about 40 Mini Coalies, Pollack, Poor Cod, Shore Rockling, and Whiting

Report:

Went up the coast for a wee run and was pleasantly surprised with the results, highlights of the night had to be Binghams first ever 3 Beard and my Conger on a Spinning Rod... lmao... :lol:

nice to see you both got a few of the target species lads :P :P
this wind has been a real nuisance this last fortnight :x :x
after our sandblasting the other weekend i've vowed never to repeat that again. it just is'nt worth it on the reel front. i had to strip down £400 worth of reels to flush all the sand out of them. when you turn the handel on them they should not sound like a pepper mill full of coarse sea salt :!: :!: :!: :!:

Yea Al had that our self when a few of us hit Arklow beach and had to leave and then head to another mark, next day my reals where so rough like a badger in a fox hole.. a full service was done on all of them and the amount of sand and grit that came out...... well that's fishing in a Gale force 8/9....
