People:couple of us

Duration:11:30 am - 4pm

Tide:not sure

Weather:very nice

Bait:mackeral sand eel and cooked mussels

Rigs:yes

Results:3 coalie,1 pollock and almost 2 crab

Report:was first time in balintoy and weather was very nice so we fished out from the edge of the harbour to start off. we used cooked mussels just for the laugh and after about 10 minutes there was a little coalie on the line (about 3/4 pound) then got a small pollock using cooked mussel and mackeral.
fishing slowed up so we moved to the big rock at the other side and caught another couple of coalies.
after thinking i had lots of fish on all day when reeling in and nothing there i was quite annoyed but later on i found out that i had been reeling in crabs and then they were letting go of the bait  2 crabs were reeled to the edge where they let go just as they came from the water

all in all it was a good day even though there were no keepers

first report on here so i hope its ok
