Report:
I fished two different marks;
1st mark produced 1 ballan wrasse, 1 corkwing, 4 pollack to 1lb 5oz,1 30cm flounder, 2 dabs (the rare kissing variety as shown in the photo), 9 small pouting, 1 anorexic whiting and 1 30cm coalfish. Lug and mackerel were equally successful. The flounder was taken in close on a spinning rod, 2oz lead and mackerel strip, it actually fought, bent the rod and made a couple of runs! The standard beachcaster is a bit OTT for these guys. Most of the fish came from the rougher ground in close.
2nd mark, fishing from rock onto sand, 1 flounder, 2 dabs to 23cm, 1 mackerel and dab double shot, 1 small pouting and 1 weever. All on small baits, nothing on sandeel or large mackerel baits.
Back to the first mark for the third trip, 2 pollack to 32cm, 4 dogfish, 5 pouting to 30cm and 1 rockling at 8oz, probably a PB for that species. Like I said, nothing huge but plenty of variety!
