Report:
Decided to take a young fella that had never been fishing before out for a couple of hours. Wanted to pick a mark that would guarantee some fish to get him interested so decided to head to Dun Laoghaire armed with a box of rag and some rotten bottom rigs.
I have to say I could not believe how many fish that we caught in such a short period of time, granted the biggest was Pollock of around 2lb but it was literally a fish a cast. Initially it was loads of pin whiting, then fat pouting. Then just as the light began to drop the Pollock came on the feed. We had 4 Pollock in succession 1.5 – 2lb. We even managed a few nice wrasse with the biggest just over the pound.
Absolutely comical watching the young lad attempting to put the rag on the hook without getting bitten. Great craic!!!!
