I was using two rods one close for flats one out a bit for whatever came along, but plagued with small whiting,i didnt mind too much they kept me busy, hopefully it produces again its fairly deep and dosent require a 20 minute hike to the low tide mark,i think ill target coalies and cod when it gets a bit cooler,by the way dont drive down the road is in bits and very steep and is on a dangerous bend

Well done, seems those whitting are hungry EVERYWHERE!! I was in Greystones with Sparkey+1 the other day hooked into about 25 of them (each of us!!), again no monsters but very effecient at stripping the bait even through the bait elastic! Then I was out in greystones during the night targeting bigger fish, and they were still going mad, a few of them hooked themselves (very small didnt even show on the rod tips)and thier mates were even eating the ones on the hooks!!! you could see whitting teeth marks in the flesh

they were like little piranha
