Report:
Got down to greystones hoping to fish off the pier for the first time.
Got there and the whole pier was closed off to the public. Theyre fixing the whole thing up.
Fencing everywhere and even a security guard.
Walked down toward the beach to find a spot and it didnt take long. Some spanish bloke was just finishing up and he told me there were alot of fish there and he showed me a big plaice that he caught.
Go setup, and threw the first rod in, before I could even get my second rod in , the first rod was tappin away like a mad thing. I was fishing quite slow and just enjoying the sun, some food and a bit of music and I caught 6 beautiful fish. I would confidently say if I had fished fast I could have caught over double figures.
Got to try out my newest bass lure which is a hardcore minnow (surface)..... looked great in the water but no bites unfortunately.
Really nice days fishing
