Report:was going to go to ennerreilly but read somewhere that there was some sort of comp on

so decided to go a bit further south. hit the mark just before 6 and had baits in soon after.there were a few lads already there catching small flats and weaver

.started to get little knocks from the word go but no hook ups

this went on for an hour and half so decided to change to smaller hooks but alas still no joy

5 hours later and not a fish to be seen we contemplated moving mark but then i got a decent bite

turned out to be a doggie,we decided to stay and doggie no.2 soon came in followed by no.3. next bite produced something heavier and in came my first ray for years, poor james still had'nt a bite yet

but he did'nt have to wait too long about 15 mins later he got in to something that turned out to be another ray, another new species for him.it went quiet then for about an hour until i got another doggie followed by a pup smoothie.we gave it the famous last cast and started to pack up the gear.no sooner had my bait hit the water i had a good old rattle, when i felt the weight i knew this was the biggest fish of the night, thought it might be another ray but was pleasantly surprised when in came a nice bullhss,i had'nt had his aquaintance for a few years either.he swallowed the hook deep but after some open mouth surgery i got it out and off he swam . all in all not a bad nights fishing(apart for the first 5 hours)the ray were also deephooked but alas did'nt survive

did'nt go to waste, ray for sun di dins none of your auld roast beef for me
