Report: What a fantastic night decided to give my sea trout mark a bash and got there arouind 8pm only to find that there was a lot of sea lettuce about, feck that I said here we go again another waste of time, so decided to go for a recky instead went to a rock mark close by that I have never fished but always imagined it should produce. first impressions of the spot were great, deep water with an awesome rip, whilst tackling up I spoted a couple of sea trout splashing about (hands shaking) I got the fly into the water as quick as I could, my line was quickly pulled along by the rip and just before I lifted the line to make another cast fecking wallop this fish cleared the water like a steam train rod was being pulled hard and the rip didnt help I was thinking this is a good trout and was amazed to land a pollack just below 2lb this fish hit me on the surface like a trout it even cleared the water when it took the fly unreal, fish returned second cast bang fish on another pollack about the same size I am pleased to announce that tonight I have broken my PB six casts six fish the fishing never stopped not one fish was smaller than a pound and the biggest was three. ok sea trout didnt play ball well I never hooked any but every cast I made I got a pull so who knows it might have been sea trout nipping at the tail, anyways I was well chuffed I got out pitty it had to end with darkness falling,,,,
