[b]Report:Started off fishing at Balintoy but I wasn`t sure where the best wrasse spot was and I was loosing tackle because off the swell pushing between the wee islands at the back of the harbour.Had a few small wrasse, coalies and pollack before I headed to Ballycastle.
Fished the back of the ferry pier with wrasse gear and put the mini rod down between the rocks for rockling and other mini species.Had some small three bearded rockling and two bright pink long spined sea scorpions, never seen them such an odd colour before.Ended up with about 60 fish, mostly wrasse.Biggest fish off the day was an 8lb conger on the mini rod, lost one decent wrasse(3lb+) but the best I landed was about 2lb,saw a monster wrasse rolling on the surface under the weed, its tail poked through and was about 5-6 inches across. Not a bad day.ended up with 8 species.
