great night fishing co.dublin last night with a couple of lads i meat up with, and a special thanks to the lad that but us on the spot , you know who i am thanking again ,, any time you get to galway call me..... as for the fishing from the go we where landeing smooth hounds every cast almost then the big one hit and by did it hit , it took line of my spool , crusing from left to right, i fought it for 10 to 15 min and by it did not give up , the best fighting fish from the shore i have ever caught.. got it landed with the help of the two lads,, thanks lads.. it hit the scales at 9lbs 8ozs... happy days.......

Thats some great fishing alan well done worth the trip was there much weed on the beach,or were u on the rocks?youve inspired me to have a go dis weekend,private brian I never thought id hear ur statement about go east theres very little in the west

Pity about the scales hook going through its eye you should always use a sling or towel when weighing them!

its not in its eye

but your right a sling or bag is the best way, tony gets very protective of smoothies he didnt talk too me for a week last year when i ate a 4lber

(i wasnt too fussed on it so the rest of them are safe

Geat fishing alan, they are the best pound for pound quick fighter right til the edge, sometimes i do be shakin its just goin to get off after bringing them right to the edge., well done fab fish.

thanks for all the repleys lads. i know it was not the right way to weight it, but i assure you all the fish went back safe and sound i made sure of that myself........ thanks again... cant wait till next week as stefwest said the bigger one is still around there....
