How do mate. Get yourself a "gemini" disgorger. Fool proof for unhooking lsd's. Strong enough for huss and smaller eels as well, though it will bend a bit on bigger fish.

well done nice session,I don't like leaving hooks in fish as well but some times I have too,a disgorger will get most of the hooks out.
you can make a disgorger quite easy, have a look at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=28063&hilit=wall+tie

the easiest way of telling a dog fish from a bull huss is to look at the fins and nasal flaps

Im gonna have to get a lot of pictures checked lol
I usually lift my disgorger for dogs but in times of need I try to either break the hook without hurting the fish or simply cut as close to the hook as possible. Doggies seem to take a lot of abuse so aslong as your not pulling and pulling theyll nearly always be ok.
Also be carefull of laying them on top of gear they tend to throw up and Ive had to wash more than just sand off gear at times.
Lovely looking fish << :) you got there
