Report: After 6 months of being practically housebound due to child number 6 arriving, and then doing my back in, I decided that enough was enough, and took a run down to carrick.

Started of fishing inside the harbour, with one rod fishing the bottom in front of the breakwater, and feathering with the other.

After a couple of hours of being tortured by crabs   (hooks coming back stripped clean every time, and catching a crab a cast), and no luck with the feathers, I turned my attention to fishing over the back wall. This resulted in not only every crab in county antrim taking a liking to my macky strips, but also every starfish as well! Take it from me, the starfish population in Belfast Lough is very healthy at the minute lol.

I persevered with the feathers, and was eventually rewarded with a coalie :D . It may have been small, but was as satisfying as a 10lb bass due to my recent inactivity!!

Not a great session, but it was great to be out again!
