People:Myself & a friend (Graham)
Duration:A couple of hours bait fishing on Friday night, bait fishing on Saturday morning, lure fishing Saturday afternoon.
Tide:Fished the flood at each mark, about 3 hours before high.
Weather:Water clarity wasn't great on the North Wexford beaches but it cleared a bit south of Wexford city. Overcast, mild, occassional heavy showers, moderate to fresh NW breezes.
Bait:Fresh rag, frozen crab, various lures.
Rigs:Pulley, 1 hook paternoster.
Results:A couple of very small smooth-hounds & a dogfish on the Friday night. A dogfish on Saturday morning. Nothing lure fishing South of Wexford on Saturday afternoon.
Report:We were hoping for big Smoothies on the Friday night and then a couple of bass on lures on the Saturday afternoon. We didn't connect with any big smoothies (in hindsight we chose the wrong beach!) and we don't possess the required knowledge/prowess to catch bass on lures when the water is slightly coloured with a good bit of suspended weed in it
