TORR HEAD

i finished work at 11am and i had a few marks in mind so we jumped in the car and r first destanation was Torr Head. we got there around 1pm and i heard about the clomb down so i decided that i would leave the gear behind and check it out first so we walked over to the the rope and me and the bro tried climbing down the steap and slippy walk down it was impossable, we wereslipping and just decided to give it a miss cause it was too dangerous. :!:

WHITE PARK BAY

we got too the car park on the hill and when i looked down i could see were the sand bars and gullys was, so we picked a spot baited up and chucked are bait in the gullys, i thought there was def goin to be fish about but as the hour past and no bites we decided to move on up the beach we chucked out again were i thought was a decent spot but sadly we never got a bite. the only amusment we got was the cows coming up to us on the beach and sniffing round ar bait.

BALLINTOY

After are dissapointing run at white park bay we decide to move till ballintoy and at this stage we would be happy with a bite never mind a fish. we bated up with fresh sandeel tiped with mackerel and chucked them out with in about 10 mins my rod went and i was so happy i was shoutin at the top of my voice " Fish on, Fish on" l reeled in and it was a dogfish. i was never so happy to see a dogfish in my life.  then neils rod went and we had 2 fish we decided to stay for another hour just to see if we could catch a plaice r flounder but it wasnt to be with me and neil both catching another 2 dogfish.

Dissapointing session but at least the dogfish save us from the blank.

sorry have no pics cause the battery ran out on my camera.

Hard decision to make, but right to put safety 1st. Had a few really far too close calls on the wet grass near the edge at Torr myself. Well dodgy, but great fishing there at times.

Been there done that at Torr Head. I'd love to go down there and have a bash but unless I can find somebody with harnesses and proper ropes there's no chance I'm going to risk it. Got to the change in ropes and gave up.

Brave move backing out and at least you got a few for your efforts.

Hey again Fagan,

Last weekend think sunday 12th we took a shot of a few places up there, we had loads of flatties but all tiny and after a rough night before and the lads not feeling great we quickly packed down. I wanted to try Ballintoy myself but stuck to a few marks and then portrush were I picked up a small ballan wrasse.

We stayed close at home this weekend picking up less fish but a nice 2lb pollock and a lovely big dog in amongst the rest.
Also probably the biggest crab Ive ever seen lmao
