smoothie fantasic.. 15/6/2011

Report:headed up to the east coast in search of the smoothies, we decided on a spot that looked like it might hold some... rods set up and the fishing started... was very quite for the few hour or so but then lingos rod got hammered, rod tip o ver. fish on. it gave him a great fight crusing from left to right, it was a cracker of a smoothie of around the 5 pound mark. nice one here we go ,we though, but all went very quite after that for about 2 hours and then all hell broke out, rods where bending left ,right and centre... smoothies everywhere, it was my first ever smoothie hunt and i will never forget it what a fight from these beasts... we landed around 16 smoothies and lost about another 15, lingo got stuck into one that was specimen we reckoned he fought it for ten minutes and then it broke loose.... while lingo was fighting that one stefwest was in to yet another one and so was i ..... they have to be the best fighting fish from the shore that i have battled with so far... roll on next week east coast here i come...... hope i can upload the photos, if not i will get someone to do it for me.....

cracking session lads, some good size hounds well done was there any weed around

well done alan ye certainly look a happy bunch must be insane when your all into a fish at the same time

well done lads nice to met yous again was out on thursday and today but still have to break my smut duck for the year heading wicklow now for a evening session so you never know anyway hope it goes aswell next week if i dont see yous
