It would help also if you wrap the squid around the sandeel and secure it with bait elastic. This keeps the bait safe a bit longer instead of it being teared apart from crab or smaller nuisance fish prematurely.

thanks m8, ive been using the gemini splashdown weights for three years now and never had a problem think it cracked of at the geinie clip holding the weight. but it still opened my eyes for using shockleader. thanks m8Determined Dan wrote:hard luck on the sesion. the weight is a good reminder of the power the lead is moving at..i seen that type of lead loose the grip part before when stuck it rock so it wouldnt be my first choice. but at lest you got the doggie blank saved.
