Results: 1 x Bass – My first East Coast one…..
Report: Well with another long weekend and being up early (Cracking Day) decided (last minute) to hit for an East Coast session after being down west last weekend. I had lug and raided the Bait Freezer for Razor and frozen Peeler.
Hit the road at 9:30 and stopped off half way for the customary Breakfast roll, arrived at about 10:30.
There were another two lads on the beach already, quick hello, but don’t think they had anything at that point. Set up above them and put out a three hooked flapper with Lug for flats and then setup the other rod with a Pulley with Peeler hoping for an East Coast Bass. After about an hour one of the lads has a Bass and about another hour or so after that he had a second, which told me they were there. However my Lug baits were coming back untouched from all distances

. Time for a change!

On with two pulleys size 1- & 1/0 and baited with Peeler on one, and Razor on the other. Another hour passed and I was beginning to think here we go again on this beach…

But I was determined not to Blank, kept at it using up the last of the peeler and Razor, then around 15:00 a slack line – Could it be…(hoping)…..Yes it was… a lovely bar of silver reward for all the effort, and my first East Coast Bass & first of the year –
Job Done - and another species for the list.. Happy Days!
