Report:The weather was fantastic and Flounders showed from the start, even though there was an ebb tide until 1930 hours. Those anglers who had water to cast into enjoyed regular bites until even the small amount of water in front of them ran out. Once darkness fell and the tide was on the make, more Flounders were caught with the occasional round fish such as Coalfish and Whiting giving a bit more sport. With most anglers working hard to increase card numbers, all were surprised to see the end peg land a Bass of 41cm. Kev put in a last minute dash for the line landing a double shot of Flounder at 30 cm and 20 cm. Until then the competition had been close - still the great weather and good turnout made for an enjoyable night for all.
