Duration:1600-2000

Tide:H/T @ 1730

Weather:Miserable, grey and wet

Bait:mack and sandeel

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results:three small flounder

Report:

First time doing a report so feedback appreciated.....

I started off at Whitestrand as I can fish out the door of the campervan in the rain, also the added bonus of listening to the match in comfort too!
I arrived to see buoys across the entrance to the bay :? but tackled up hoping they were lobster pots and not nets. Two hours without a bite made me think otherwise   After talking to a local and hearing of the tragedy there the day before (two welsh ladies drowned the day before. RIP) I decided to move off around the corner to fish in front of the Golf club. The first hour was quiet bar a big missed bite (a bass??) but once it got dark I had a tiny flounder (15cm) at about 30yards out and next cast had two more of the same size, I had originally thought I had a better fish on but two smalls is better than one small which again is better than nothing hehehehe.
I called it a night as it was dark and had no night gear with me, fancied a few scoops too

Sorry theres no pictures but twas dark and my camera phone pics at night are sh1t, I guess you all would know what a small flounder looks like anyhow.
Good to be out and beat the blank though!!!

Nice report Mike. Might be worth getting in touch with the WRFB regarding the bouys... Could be an illegal net or maybe not, but these things are always worth calling in.

Cheers Polaris, the word campervan might be a bit misleading though, its old and rusting now and theres no telly, I could barely even tune in the radio
a comfy seat, a sliding door and the coffeepot on the ring is luxury enough for me
The tv would be the dream.....[

Cheers Kev, just rang the 1890 number there, thanks for the tip. A friendly sounding lady took the report in great detail and gave me a reference no. to follow up on. A great service and long overdue!

I was going to stop and have a natter and also see if you were a site member but chickened out as the last time I did the guy looked at me like I was mental, I guessed that he had never heard of SAI
