Off work for the day, so a bit of fishing was on the cards for the evening... Decided on a return to Donaghadee (

) and got the same setups as last night going on yet again. Tonight was much more successful with plenty of knocks and bites keeping me on my toes. Started off with the DDP on the Zziplex, but soon changed to a Shep & cast into the rough, so got a few rattles and my first fish on the new rod turned out to be... (drumroll please...) a 5 Bearded Rockling!

Not really the way I wanted to kick off fishing with it, but hey, a fish is a fish.
All the fish came to Mackeral, or Worm tipped with Mackeral, which is weird as usually the coalies in the Dee go wild for the lugworm.
Also managed a crab hat trick tonight with a Brown, A shore, and a Velvet Swimmer in full berry.
Anyway, fishing beats working, and always good to be out during the week.
