Downhill & Ramoure Head - SAT 19th

I was ment to head out on Friday night to meet my mate at Castlerock beach but the stormy weather was terrible and i didnt fancy risking it so i decided to leave it until sat morning.

i landed at Castlerock to discover the entrance was flooded. i wanted to take the car on for handness so i decided to head on around to Downhill. low and behold the entrance had washed away in the rain! lol so i wasnt to be detered and i walked on.

i should of avoided it as i blanked on it for the 2-3 hrs i was there, tho the amount of bloody dogs on that beach is serious and at the same time the people who dont pick up the dog crap is also a disgrace.

i packed up and headed onto portrush to live bait and to pick a different spot. got sorted with live bait and then decided on where to go. i noticed the blue pool had a few people on it so i headed on around to ramoure head. it was bloody treachorous on them rocks as well with seaweed that had gotton thrown on with the previous nights storm.

well i blanked again! not amussed at all. tho there was 3 other guys to my left for about an hour and they caught nothing either both on the bottom and with feathers and spinners. very diappointing end to the day. still it was a lovely day and i got a few decent pics on my phone.

Monday 21st - Ballycastle.
i was going to let the blank get me so with the better half away to work last night i decided to use the rest of my rag worm i saved from sat. i dedcided to try a new beach i hadnt had a go at and headed to ballycastle. i spent many a day here as a kid so i still love this beach and ive fished the pans rock so i decided to give the beach a go for the first time.

i landed there near 7pm and there was decent enough swell kicking up meaning i set up pretty high up the beach. there was a few other guys there last night as well fishing in front of the big rock. i set up to the left of the rock just in the sea, and i could see the waves battering high over it, i i def was staying up the beach lol

i stayed for about 2hrs and beat the blank. i landed a small flouder on rag and then landed 2 coalies. oh happy days! lol i was just glad to beat the blank. i will def have to try this beach again for some evening fishing
