yeah another month or 2 action should really heat upKERRY1 wrote:That's a cracker of a codling seanie, well done mateIt's a shame that the weed spoilt your original plans of going for the Bass but there will be plenty of opportunity for you to go out after them again when the weed clears up. Bet you can't wait to get the lures out again, I know I can't.
cheers i find a really big bait helps pull out anything big in the vicinity that fish by the way is the best codling ive had off ferrypoint normally its a bit of a disaster there for metight lines wrote:well done sean thts a very nice cod i have fished ferrypoint a few times over the winter and never seen a cod that size being pulled out so great fishing keep it up well done

think ive learnt my lesson over the years evan there was no way i was going to do 2 hours of weed hauling last nite sometimes in certain places though the weed will clear but not the place i was last niteevan699 wrote:Fair play sean. Good result getting a few fish down that way after all the rain. Might have to take a spin some day next week. Wouldn't mind a good size codling. Things are a bit wild and weedy on the beaches at the moment alright. Had two beach sessions in the last week and our arms were aching by the end of the night from pulling in hedges of the stuff.
cheers frank tonight will probably be my last cod session unless the weed sends me there againRockHunter wrote:Well done Sean, good to see there are still a few big ones around Youghal.

true wez thats the way it goes cheerskerrywez wrote:Hi Sean what a very nice cod, he is so plump and a really well made up fish. I would be way happier with that fine cod than a Bass the same size any day.
I have only just been able to see the pic, as I said my internet was down yesterday morning and then I was down with you at Youghal all afternoon and night. It is a pity we did not get any that size last night, that weed was a killer mate, but there will be other times and other fish mate.
Best regards Wez
