waterfoot pier 23/1/11

Fished from about 11.30 till 3.30 high tide at 1.30, absolutley nothing for first 2 hours , then i got the occasional wee knock on the rod, just as i was reparing for yet another blanker, at around 3 o clock i caught a good size flounder, the biggest flattie i have ever caught , probably not much shy of the 1lb mark it was just over 30 cms , this was not the target species but i have never been so happy to catch as its the first in about 15 outings, things are on the up , i got a bit of advice of al and jordan during the week so maybe that was the difference today. Not a great days fishing but well worth the trip

finally put the blank to bed man!! ye ha . if you had of been there in the evening you both would have filled your boots!! but that was still a good result for daytime fishing out that way most places do'nt switch on until after dark at the mo
