Report:
Have Ragworm, will fish, and with that motto in mind it was decided that some rough ground would be hit today in hope of some Coalies or Red Cod.
Rigged the 2 Rods up, 1 with a Penell Pulley Rig and the other with a sheppy rig I'd slightly improved (May have a vid or pics of it up on this thread later)...
So down to the fishing, Got the gear into the gully and sad down with my usual radio 5 accompaniment which seems to follow me to all sessions where I fish alone.
Went for about 45 minutes with 15 minute bait changes. Finally got my one and only bite which was a typical thumping coaly, Hit it, I nearly got it stuck on the way out of the gully but luckily a bit of bullying soon had it flapping about at my feet, along with a shore crab on tbe bottom hook. Unhooked, Measured, Photographed and released I got the rod rebaited and spent the next hour or so freezing my nuts off waiting for the next bit of interest that never happened. Still, good to beat the blank and glad I've still got a wee spot which produces the odd better fish so close to hand.
