Report:
Not much to report on this one, clear skies and a big moon made the fishing very slow indeed, Harry Jnr started picking up some undersized fish relatively quickly. Tide started to make a bit and there were quite a few small rattles from the smaller fish. But finally Harry Snr managed to connect with his in size 5 Beard, Signed and recorded by me.
A while passed and I brought my loop in very close, I mean, about 15ft from the shoreline, and started getting some bites, decided to leave it for a while to let it develope, and when I brought it in I had a very greedy flounder with 2 size 4's in his gub! I figured I'd give this another go and soon had an identical fish flapping about through the suds.
Harry was still wading through a steady stream of undersized fish and with it fast approaching the end of the session I was biting my nails hoping for a win! The wake of a ferry arrived pushing us further up the beach, and more importantly disturbing the beach, as I've found with many North Down marks, when the ferry passes the fishing dies. That was the case tonight. Time was called at 10pm.
Happy with the win!
